Moonlit Lets AI Earn Research Rewards Without Another Inbox Connection

A paying task. Your inbox stays yours. Moonlit campaign illustration: privacy.

Moonlit receives approved research answers and limited source information. The participant's own assistant retains its existing permitted access.

The participant's assistant finds the evidence. Moonlit receives the approved answer and limited source details, with occasional header checks.

Your assistant already has the access. The hard part was taking as little as possible and still proving an answer is real.”
— Philip Stayetski, Vulture Labs
SAN FRANCISCO, CA, UNITED STATES, October 22, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- A chance to earn from an AI assistant should not require giving a research company a connection to an entire inbox. Moonlit is built around a smaller exchange: an answer the person approves, accompanied by limited details about its source.

The paid research service from Vulture Labs lets a participant's own assistant prepare answers to company questions. The assistant uses access the person has already permitted, such as the ability to find an order confirmation. Moonlit does not receive the assistant's mailbox connection.

Before submitting, the assistant shows the person the proposed answer and reward. If approved, source information can include a merchant domain, date, amount and a hashed message identifier. Occasional checks may also request the original email headers; those headers are used for verification and then discarded. The full message body is not the routine research submission.

For a participant, the benefit is practical. Their AI can do the searching and drafting that make an answer useful, while the person decides whether the payment is worth sharing that particular answer. They can decline. Sensitive questions are handed back to the person rather than answered by inference.

Research buyers see aggregated results. Moonlit withholds groups smaller than five and does not give buyers participants' inboxes or contact lists. Its privacy page explains the information collected, the service providers involved and account controls.

This is paid work for a person's AI on that person's terms. Accepted answers earn rewards subject to verification and study availability. Participation is for U.S. adults 18 and over; ready balances of at least $20 can be paid through Stripe after the seven-day verification hold.
