Executive Coach Dr. Marshall Goldsmith to be Featured on CUTV News Radio

RANCHO SANTA FE, CALIFORNIA, UNITED STATES, December 6, 2018 /EINPresswire.com/ — CUTV News today announced the world’s #1 Leadership Thinker and #1 Executive Coach Dr. Marshall Goldsmith will be a featured guest on CUTV News Radio.

Dr. Goldsmith is an authority on helping successful leaders achieve positive, lasting change in behavior for themselves, their people and their teams.

“A leader casts a long shadow. The higher up you go the longer that shadow grows. Positive change in the most influential leaders has an impact that can be felt across their entire organizations,” says Dr. Goldsmith. “The people I help have such an influence over so many other people; as they get better, literally thousands of people feel the impact.”

30 years ago, no CEO would admit to having a coach. Today, Dr. Goldsmith is the author or editor of 35 books, which have sold over two million copies, including New York Times bestsellers MOJO and What Got You Here Won’t Get You There.

If you search “Helping Successful Leaders” on Google, of the first 500 entries are links to Marshall Goldsmith. Dr. Goldsmith has worked with over 200 major CEOs including Frances Hesselbein (Girl Scouts) to Alan Mulally (Ford). To date, nearly 2,000 people have been trained in Dr. Goldsmith’s coaching process.

"The key to success in coaching is having great clients. My business is generated by my clients,” says Dr. Goldsmith. The fact I have such great clients is why I have such great business, why I have such a great reputation and why I almost always succeed.”

Dr. Goldsmith says the best leaders want to work on being a role model.

“Every company has values, right? But if you don't see the CEO live that way, the values don't mean anything. And it's not just the CEO, it's the people who report to the CEO who are also very important, because they manage thousands of people. So they need to be great role models for whatever the values of the company are. If you see the company preaching X and the CEO is doing Y, it doesn't work.”

There are six questions Dr. Goldsmith highly recommends for everyone, not just CEOs:

Did I do my best to set clear goals?
Did I do my best to make progress toward achieving my goals?
Did I do my best to find meaning?
Did I do my best to be happy?
Did I do my best to fully engaged?
Did I do my best to build positive relationships?

Dr. Goldsmith’s daily question process can help you keep track of what's most important in your life to achieve positive long-term change and improve yourself as a leader, friend, family member.

“Although I work with CEOs, you don't have to be a CEO to use my process,” says Dr.Goldsmith. “Anyone can use this process to develop themselves because it relates to everybody.”

CUTV News Radio will feature Dr. Marshall Goldsmith in a two-part interview with Jim Masters on December 10th at and December 17th at 2pm EST.

18-YEAR-OLD ACTOR/SINGER OLIVER RICHMAN RELEASES 'I CAN SEE' WRITTEN BY HIS GRANDFATHER, LEGEND RON MILLER

Oliver Richman, New Music Release

Oliver Richman, New Holiday Release

Oliver Richman

A Newly Released Music Video of the Same Song, Recorded and Filmed By Oliver When he Was 10 Years Old, Accompanies the 2018 Recording

‘I Can See’ is a song of hope and optimism. In a world full of challenge, it is inspiring and empowering to remember to look for the good even while acknowledging some of the pain of the truth.”

— Lisa Dawn Miller, Producer

LOS ANGELES , CA, U.S.A., December 6, 2018 /EINPresswire.com/ — Keeping the spirit alive of his iconic grandfather, famed songwriter Ron Miller, 18-year-old actor/singer Oliver Richman (https://oliverrichman.com/) releases a powerful, piano-only ballad entitled "I Can See." Oliver is the first artist to release the track written by his late grandfather when it was discovered after Miller’s passing in 2007. The new recording is now available on iTunes, Amazon, Spotify and YouTube.

Oliver previously recorded the song as a child in 2010 and filmed a music video for its release, however the video was held and only recently edited as part of a college send-off to Oliver from his mother, producer/singer/songwriter Lisa Dawn Miller (https://lisadawnmiller.com/), who produced both recordings and the music video. The video is now available on Oliver’s website and on YouTube at https://youtu.be/TXvwJUL6J0s.

“As part of my goal to get all of the unknown works of my father out there for the whole world to hear, I’m so grateful to have the extraordinary talents of my son, who knows how to interpret my father’s powerful, meaningful and profound lyrics with depth and sensitivity,” Lisa Miller said.

“‘I Can See’ is a song of hope and optimism. In a world full of challenge, it is inspiring and empowering to remember to look for the good even while acknowledging some of the pain of the truth. It was my father’s message to me and it is my message to my son, who sang this song as an innocent child full of hope and excitement about the future and who sings it now as young college student wanting to utilize his talents to go out there and change the world in the most positive ways,” Miller continued.

Just in time for the holidays, Oliver also recently released a beautiful rendition of the late Miller's holiday classic, "Someday at Christmas," originally recorded by Stevie Wonder in 1967. The song is also available on iTunes, Spotify, Amazon and YouTube. “Someday at Christmas” and “I Can See” are the first two releases from the younger Miller’s new record label, LDM Music.

Oliver's grandfather and Lisa's father, Ron Miller, penned standards such as, "For Once in My Life," "Touch Me in the Morning," "A Place in the Sun,” "Yester-me, Yester-you, Yesterday," "Heaven Help Us All," "I've Never Been to Me," "If I Could,” “Everyone’s a Kid at Christmas Time” (co-written by Oliver’s maternal grandmother, Aurora Miller), and many more.

Oliver was personally invited by Stevie Wonder when he was just 10 years old to perform the hit “One Little Christmas Tree” at the Nokia Theatre (now the Microsoft Theater) for Wonder's annual House Full of Toys benefit concert, where Oliver received a standing ovation from more than 7,500 people. Oliver is now a freshman at New York University Tisch School of the Arts.

Oliver’s prior releases include takes on his grandfather’s classics, “For Once in My Life – Special 50th Anniversary Edition,” “Heaven Help Us All,” “Will I Still Be Me,” and “Everyone’s a Kid at Christmas Time.” He also released many other songs including several penned by his mother, “You and I,” “Rise” “Believe,” “Today” and “The Diagramming Club.”

Lisa has written and/or produced other holiday recordings for the Miller-family catalogue such as “A Miracle,” "A Christmas Truce," We'll Always Have Christmas Eve," "A New Year" and “Celebrate Me Home.” She also recently launched LDM Publishing (https://ldmpublishing.com/) and is currently developing a new musical about the life of her father entitled, “For Once in My Life."

At 9 years old, Oliver released, “Defying Gravity,” his first music video. He first appeared in the critically-acclaimed show, “Sandy Hackett’s Rat Pack Show” as “Young Frank Sinatra” at age 10. At 13 years old, he released a piano-only ballad of Bruno Mars’ “Count on Me.”

Convention of Mystery Fans and Authors Coming to Vancouver in March

Mystery convention in Vancouver will be the first of its kind in Canada.

Fans will have a real opportunity to meet some of their favourite mystery writers in person.”

— Linda McNab

VANCOUVER, BC, CANADA, December 6, 2018 /EINPresswire.com/ — Left Coast Crime is one of the most important dates on the international crime fiction calendar. Held annually at various destinations on the left side of North America, recent years have seen LCC take place in Hawaii, Nevada, California, Oregon and other places. This spring, for the first time ever, the convention is coming to Canada.

Almost all of the action around the 29th Left Coast Crime will take place at the Hyatt Regency Vancouver on March 28-31, 2019. Subtitled “Whale Of A Crime,” the event will bring some of the most celebrated writers in mystery and crime fiction together with avid fans, many of whom will be traveling from outside of Canada to participate in this popular annual event.

“Fans will have a real opportunity to meet some of their favourite mystery writers in person,” says convention co-chair Linda McNab. “There will be various panel discussions and interviews, so you’ll be able to hear them talk about their writing. Not only that, you’ll be able to interact with them at various social functions.”

Organizers are expecting 600 attendees, of which over 200 will be writers. Writers from every part of the genre will be in attendance, representing authors of historical to cozy to noir to gritty police procedurals and hardcore thrillers. The authors already registered to attend include first time writers to bestselling and award-winning authors.

Some of the acclaimed authors who will be at Left Coast Crime include Cathy Ace, CJ Box, Maureen Jennings, Rhys Bowen, Charles Todd, and Laurie R King. The family of late Sue Grafton, internationally bestselling author of the Alphabet mysteries, will be in attendance to accept a special award.

Though the authors will provide the biggest draw and the largest part of the content, the convention will also be attended by reviewers, publishers and editors. Fans can expect panel discussions, readings, workshops, small group discussions and book signings, all offering an unparalleled opportunity to meet and speak with some of the most influential and significant authors currently working in the crime and mystery genres. LCC will also provide those who love crime fiction the ideal venue to discover new authors to enjoy, while also helping authors connect with their fans and get new readers.

In addition to the regularly scheduled Left Coast Crime fun, would-be screenwriters can register for the Hollywood North component of this year’s event. Award-winning author, screenwriter and journalist, Mark Leiren-Young, will give trenchant advice to those hoping to adapt their book for film.

For full information, visit the Left Coast Crime: Whale of a Crime web site at http://www.leftcoastcrime.org/2019/.

Authors hoping to participate on a panel will need to register by December 31st. Additionally the $300 cost for full registration goes up on January 1, 2019. Day passes and attendance in the Hollywood North segment are available separately.

Leadership Coach Christopher Coffey to be Featured on CUTV News Radio

MARINA DEL REY, CALIFORNIA, UNITED STATES, December 6, 2018 /EINPresswire.com/ — People believe it takes a long time to change behavior, but that isn’t necessarily the case. You can change your behavior instantly. Changing others’ perceptions of us, however, can take quite a bit longer.

Our behavior change can only be measured by the effect it has on others, our stakeholders, the people we interact with each day.

“You've got to focus on the stakeholders, says leadership coach Christopher Coffey. “If we’re focused on the stake-holders, we’re focused on the future and how we want to be perceived.

In collaboration with his contemporaries Marshall Goldsmith and Frank Wagner, Coffey is the co-developer of the stakeholder-centered coaching process that allows individuals to not only change their behavior but how they are perceived at the same time. Together, they drive work to other qualified coaches who are willing to adhere to their unique value proposition: they only get paid if the stakeholders decide the client has improved on certain key leadership behaviors.

“As a leadership coach, you have to focus not just on the person you’re coaching, but the people around the person you're coaching,” explains Coffey. “It's very much a systems approach. The client is not the person who decides whether they got better. The coach has no vote either on whether the client got better. You pay us only if the individual we're coaching improves on the leadership skills they committed to at the beginning as determined by the pre-selected stakeholders around them.”

A coach for 18 years, Coffey specializes in leadership behavior.

“I help successful people have a positive change in behavior that sustainable and that’s recognized and acknowledged by others,” says Coffey. “I help people improve on their collaboration, delegation; I encourage them to take appropriate risks, focus on what's most important, hold people accountable, treat people with respect, and listen to different points of view before giving your opinion.”

There's a lot of coaching out there today. Sometimes it seems anybody can be a coach; all you need is a business card. But no matter how good a coach you may be, you can’t get a person to change their behavior if that person doesn't want to change their behavior and sustain it. That requires courage, discipline and humility.

“If you want to be more effective and recognized and acknowledged by the key people around you, you've got to have the courage to ask for suggestions, you’ve got to have the discipline to create an action plan and the discipline to follow it faithfully, and you’ve got to have the humility to say, ‘As good as I am, I know I can get better,’” says Coffey. “The key question to ask yourself is: ‘How good of a leader do I want to be?’ What do you need to do more of, less of, start doing, stop doing, to turn your potential into skill?”

CUTV News Radio will feature Christopher Coffey in an interview with Jim Masters on December 10th at 4pm EST / 1pm PST.

Listen to the show on BlogTalkRadio.

Digital Pi, PFL & Uberflip Spread Holiday Cheer Filling Backpacks for Youth Entering Foster Care

The organizations sponsored and assembled backpacks benefitting Austin-based charity Carrying Hope.

AUSTIN, TX, UNITED STATES, December 6, 2018 /EINPresswire.com/ — Digital Pi, PFL, and Uberflip gave their customers the most rewarding gift of all this holiday season: a child's smile. The three companies, combined with the Austin Marketo Users Group, invited their customers to join them at Jacoby’s Restaurant & Mercantile on November 29, 2018, to assemble "Hope Packs" benefitting local charity, Carrying Hope.

"Every year we set aside part of our marketing budget for client holiday gifts like branded mugs, or phone chargers. This year we wanted to do something different — and we were pretty sure our clients wouldn't mind! Instead of spending our budget on branded tokens of our appreciation, we decided to invite some of our partners to a night of gifting it forward where we filled backpacks for local kids entering into foster care. What started as a simple idea grew into an event that touched all of our lives — and sparked a new tradition at Digital Pi," said Ryan Vong , CEO of Digital Pi. (http://digitalpi.com)

Carrying Hope is an Austin, TX nonprofit providing comfort items and essentials to children entering the foster care system in Central Texas. More than 17,000 children are removed from their homes by CPS in the state of Texas every year. Many of them arrive on doorsteps with nothing but the clothes on their backs. Foster families are forced to quickly assemble necessities like formula, diapers, clothing, toiletry items, and more. Carrying Hope strives to fill that gap by gathering supplies and filling backpacks to gift to as many children as possible.

The backpacks have been making a difference in Texas communities since 2016. "We were thrilled that these three companies wanted to invest in our community as part of their annual holiday celebrations. What a wonderful alternative to traditional corporate gifting! Thanks to Digital Pi, Uberflip, and PFL we are able to continue making a difference in the lives of foster children and hope others will follow suit!" said Kristin Finan, Co-Founder of Carrying Hope.

About Digital Pi: Digital Pi is a Marketo Platinum Services Partner that helps companies get sustainable, quantifiable business ROI from the Marketo Engagement Platform. 10 Holiday Tips For Special Needs Parents

Enjoy The Holidays With Your Special Needs Child

Author Deanna Picon Provides Complimentary Parent Guide For Holiday Enjoyment

This holiday guide offers ten proven tips designed to help parents, not only survive and manage the holidays, but actually have a pleasant and memorable season with their family and friends”

— Deanna Picon

NEW YORK, NEW YORK, US, December 6, 2018 /EINPresswire.com/ — During the busy and event-filled holiday season, parents of special needs children are often depressed and isolated. Many mothers and fathers feel as though a spotlight is being shined on their lives, and that their families fail to measure up to the so-called “normal” families portrayed in ads, TV programs and movies. This can create feelings of guilt, loneliness and stress that can take all of the joyfulness out of the holidays.

“This complimentary guide offers ten proven tips designed to help special needs parents, not only survive and manage the holidays, but actually have a pleasant and memorable season with their family and friends,” said Deanna Picon, founder of Your Autism Coach, LLC and author of The Autism Parents’ Guide To Reclaiming Your Life. The guide is available at no cost by downloading it at www.yourautismcoach.com.

Parents can apply these tips from the Enjoying The Holidays With Your Special Needs Child guide:

•Don’t Isolate Yourself. Your family and friends don’t like or love you less because you have a special needs child. In fact, they probably admire and respect you more than ever after seeing how challenging it can be to raise a child with a disability. Don’t shut these people out of your life. Being with those who care for you will make you feel good and recharge your batteries.

•Socialize Where You’re Comfortable. Attend holiday functions and events where you and your family feel at ease. The same principle applies to entertaining at home. Invite those who understand your child’s condition and support your family.

•Seek Help When You Need It. This season is the best time for seeking extra aid. Many people have time off from work and are full of the giving spirit, making this the perfect time to ask for a little assistance. There’s no shame in asking for and accepting that help. Allowing others to assist you will also make them feel good about the holidays.

•Enjoy The Gift Of “Personal Time”. When family and friends ask what you want for a present, do yourself a big favor by requesting a few hours of “me time” or “couple time” to refresh and recharge yourself. Do something that you truly enjoy, or that you simply never get the chance to do in your busy life. Let them come over to take care of your child in your home. You’ll know your child is safe and well-cared for, and there’s no child care costs. Does life get any better than this?

•Give Yourself Permission To Have Some Fun. Special needs parents may feel guilty for a having a good time over the holidays, even if it’s only for a few hours. But there’s no reason to feel guilty. A bit of enjoyment is good for you, and believe it or not, beneficial for your child. So, make sure you’ve got child care arrangements you have confidence in, then go to that dinner with friends, that office function or that holiday party. It will do wonders for your emotional outlook to unload the weight of your responsibilities for a short time.

•Make 2019 The Best Year Yet! Give yourself a pat on the back for surviving 2018! Recognize and reward yourself for being the great parent that you are. Day in and day out, you’re taking care of all your child’s needs. You deserve a medal for all the heroic things you do on an everyday basis. In 2019, make your New Year’s resolution to take better care of yourself. It’s important to make your own needs and happiness a priority, along with everyone else’s. You deserve it. And most importantly, it’s the best gift you can give yourself, child and family.

It’s never an easy decision because every year the conference includes some of the world’s most accomplished experts (www.m2moms.com/attendee-videos) in the mom & family space. We suggest the attendees use the following criteria to decide: ‘Who would you like to take back to the office with you to speak at your next marketing meeting?’, and this year they chose Katrina! She is the first international speaker to win the award.”

According to McCann, “Katrina McCarter is a marketing strategist who specializes in understanding mothers as a powerful market sector, through experience and research. She is also the author of the best-selling book, Marketing to Mums: How to sell more to the world’s most powerful consumer. She well known for her ability to negotiate strategic partnerships to increase sales and profits for her clients.

“This year Katrina ‘s presentation (www.m2moms.com/sessions/#katrina) answered the question – How Can Your Brand Survive in an Age of Digital Savvy Moms? – with 5 smart and immediately usable strategies,” McCann added. “There’s such a ring of authenticity to her work. Because in addition to being an accomplished businesswoman, international speaker and regular contributor to business media, Katrina is also a mother of three. She knows what she’s talking about from a professional and very personal perspective.”

“Mums are the world’s powerhouse consumers,” said McCarter. “There has never been a more important time to understand these buyers and influentials to drive sales and profit in your own organization. I attend M2Moms® each year, a journey of more than 10,000 miles, to hear the latest research and strategies from the world’s best marketers to mothers. So, I am deeply honored and humbled that these same experts have named me this year’s Take the Cake Best Speaker. I look forward to the 2019 conference, to learn and share and receive this beautiful prestigious award in person!”

GREEN MOUSE ACADEMY & ALPHABEST EDUCATION PARTNER WITH MAINFRAME STUDIOS ‘REBOOT: THE GUARDIAN CODE’ FOR HOUR OF CODE™

THEIR MISSION: TO INTRODUCE STUDENTS TO COMPUTER SCIENCE

Our goal is to enable kids to unlock opportunities that would effect positive change in their young lives and future careers.”

— Michael Hefferon, Creator of ReBoot: The Guardian Code

NEW YORK CITY, NYC, USA, December 5, 2018 /EINPresswire.com/ — (Vancouver, BC – December 5, 2018) Computers are everywhere. They’re in our pockets. They’re on our walls. They’re in our cars and even in our appliances. They’re a critical piece of our infrastructure, from power grids to traffic lights to the inner workings of our financial markets. And all of these essential computers have one thing in common – they depend on software to tell them what to do.

But who exactly is going to write this software? In 2018, there were over half a million unfilled tech jobs in the US alone.

Mainframe Studios ReBoot: The Guardian Code along with AlphaBEST Education and Green Mouse Academy will introduce nearly 25,000 students to the largest learning event in history, The Hour of Code, during Computer Science Education Week (December 3-9). The Hour of Code, organized by the nonprofit Code.org and over 100 partners, is a global movement that believes the students of today are ready to learn critical skills for 21st-century success and those skills include software coding.

AlphaBEST Education is a leading provider of quality before and after school enrichment-based programs for students in over 300 schools throughout the country. Through its long-standing partnership with leading STEM content creator, Green Mouse Academy, AlphaBEST has provided weekly coding discovery experiences to its students for many years.

Code.org was honored to present to the G20 Education Ministers (representing 70% of the world’s schools), and to invite students to introduce the ministers to computer science. The G20 Education Ministers’ Declaration recommended the integration of “computing and coding skills within the curriculum,” adding to the global consensus around computer science. Watch the video of the event and my full speech.

Shane Vander Kooi, founder of Green Mouse Academy, says “It’s been a lot of fun putting together this Scratch activity for AlphaBEST students to celebrate the Hour of Code™. It’s a great starting point for kids to get engaged and what we really want to see happen is to make coding more accessible and achievable, and have kids employ important thinking skills while learning through play.”

“Some really smart people at the MIT Media Lab created Scratch as a fun, easy to use, drag and drop programming language that kids can dive into without any prior learning experience. AlphaBEST wanted an activity to complement what their students were already doing after school by having something they could explore at home along with their parents to celebrate the Hour of Code and be a part of a global mission.”

Vander Kooi continued, “The partnership with Mainframe Studios has made this even more fun for us as we were able to pull in some of the visual content, key storyline messages and characters associated with the Netflix Original Series, ReBoot: The Guardian Code. Harnessing entertaining themes to encourage learning through discovery has always been what Green Mouse Academy is all about. Michael Hefferon and the team at Mainframe Studios understand and embrace ‘Edutainment’ as a valuable vehicle to deliver important messages and ignite curiosity in kids.”

Miami Heat NBA All-Star, Chris Bosh says “Coding is very important when you think about the future, where everything is going. With more phones and tablets and computers being made, and more people having access to everything and information being shared, I think it's very important to be able to learn the language of coding and programming.”
“The Hour of Code is just a first step in this collaboration and we’re looking forward to more joint efforts around harnessing the show to inspire kids to learn to code”, says ReBoot: The Guardian Code creator Michael Hefferon. “Our goal is to enable kids to unlock opportunities that would effect positive change in their young lives and future careers.”
