Among other accolades, Mr. Younessi’s team was selected to compete in the 2013 Blancpain Endurance Series competition, making him one of only a handful of Americans announced for their 2013 racing calendar.

Rodin Younessi has pursued a passion for motorsports for years, racing cars and motorcycles since an early age and eventually purchasing a series of high-volume dealerships. He’s competed in a range of elite races around the world and was selected as one of the only Americans to compete in the 2013 Blancpain Endurance Series.

The Blancpain Endurance race of 2013 was the third season of the Endurance Series and took place from April 14 to September 22. The international race began in Monza, Italy and ended months later in Nurburgring, Germany but featured other locations along the way (such as Silverstone and Paul Ricard, among others). It featured five rounds in total, with each race lasting around three hours––excluding the 24 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps and the 1000 km Nürburgring events).

Leading his own team, Rodin Younessi entered the Endurance Series through MRS (Molitor Racing Systems) as the operating team. Molitor Racing Systems also announced drivers like Brazilian Carlos Kray and Austrian Philipp Eng for the season’s lineup. Together, Rodin Younessi and his teammates shared the wheel of a McLaren MP4-12C GT3, though none of them were strangers to high performance, luxury-class sports cars. Mr. Younessi was the only American driver of the entire series to compete in a McLaren.

Younessi became acquainted with endurance racing after competing at the 8th Edition Dunlop 24hr of Dubai. In the Dunlop race, he drove the MRS McLaren MP4-12C GT3 and gained critical experience with the motorsports brand. Before that, though, Rodin Younessi privately tested the vehicle at Hockenheimring in Germany and used the factory race simulator at the McLaren Technology Center in the UK to prepare himself for the upcoming races.

"I was able to compete in the McLaren MP4-12C GT3 at 24hr of Dubai a few months ago, and was very impressed with the car's performance,” said Rodin Younessi before the 2013 Endurance Series kicked off. “I anticipate good results with my teammates."

Rodin Younessi was always involved in motorsports growing up, gaining significant experience first with motorcycle competitions and eventually racing open-wheel and sports cars. In his career, he’s competed in the USF2000 National Championship in the series' National Class as well as the F2000 Championship Series. He also raced in a Performance Tech Prototype Challenge Car at the 2012 ALMS Grand Prix of Baltimore. He formed his own competing team in 2012 (called Younessi Racing) to compete in the Firestone Indy Lights and has successfully advanced his racing career ever since.

The Good: The 2019 PS Maturity™ Benchmark revealed average net profit (Earnings Before Income Tax, Depreciation and Amortization) soared to a record high of 18.5%! Year over year earnings have increased steadily over the past three years with average net profit moving up from 14.2% in 2016 to 16.8% in 2017 and now 18.5% in 2018. This is the highest average net profit ever reported in this benchmark

The 622 PS organizations represented in this study employ nearly 400,000 consultants who each produced, on average, $206,000 in annual revenue; collectively these firms generated over $57 billion in PS revenue.

The Bad: Despite strong financial performance, several leading factors indicate turbulence may be in store for the sector. Most service organizations carefully measure billable utilization, which depicts the number of annual hours consultants are productive, doing work which can be billed to their clients. This important metric declined significantly from 1,499 average annual hours per consultant in 2017 to 1,428 in 2018. Embedded cloud PS organizations were primarily responsible for this deterioration as their consultants only billed 1,261 annual hours on average. As cloud software companies have matured, they have shifted the focus of their consulting organizations to “client adoption” which means they frequently provide free consulting support to maintain their subscription revenue.

The Ugly: Another very ominous metric was “client referenceability”. The survey asks firms to report the percentage of their clients who are referenceable. In other words, satisfied clients who would act as a reference for their products and services. Client referenceability weakened from 74.7% in 2017 to 71.9% in 2018. Embedded consulting organizations within hardware, software and cloud technology companies dragged down this important metric; all reporting that less than 65% of their clients were referenceable.

Using information that is typically confidential, such as detailed income statements, the 216-page report analyzes 160 key performance metrics and includes 235 supporting charts and graphs. But have no fear! There actually are some things in your control that allow you to respond to the review appropriately, and to minimize the impact of the bad Google review. It is a two-pronged approach.

First, minimization and context. You need to address the actual review itself. That should also be public so a potential customer can look at both the review and your response at the same time. The result is that a potential customer now has context for the issue, and the response may minimize any negative vibe the potential customer may have based on the initial bad Google review.

1. Address the Review Itself – Minimization and Context

Your first question might be – do I even need to address a bad Google review? The answer is “yes.” A bad Google review already hurts your reputation, but a bad review with no context or follow up is, in almost every circumstance, worse.

Assume that you receive a one-star review that says something like this:

What a bad experience with this company. The work group promised more than they were able to deliver,
the work was not on time based on our schedule, and overall we had a very poor customer experience.
I do not recommend this business to anyone.

Right off the bat, there is nothing positive about this review that can help you. The only real way to minimize the damage to your reputation is to provide a response.
