AutoLoop Wins 2018 Tampa Bay Tech Award for Best Workplace Culture

Besides producing industry-leading automotive software, the company has also created a unique workplace that recognizes and incorporates the value of play

CLEARWATER, FL, UNITED STATES, November 14, 2018 / — AutoLoop LLC, the leading provider of auto industry marketing, sales, and service solutions, announced today that the company has received the 2018 “Workplace Culture Program of the Year” award from Tampa Bay Tech, Florida’s largest technology council (previously known as the Tampa Bay Technology Forum).

Presented in Tampa Bay Tech’s annual ceremony on November 9, the award recognizes local area companies that have created exceptional environments in which to work. Whether it’s regularly sponsoring events that contribute to the community or providing enjoyable activities onsite, companies like AutoLoop use a unique blend of creative initiatives designed to inspire, motivate, and reward their employees.

“We believe our culture really sets us apart from other companies,” said Lisa Snyder, Senior Director of Human Resources at AutoLoop. “Our leadership places a huge value on creating a workplace that encourages having fun, as well as being productive. Not only does it let employees know they’re appreciated, it’s also how we develop the great relationships that, in turn, consistently produce outstanding results for our organization.”

Starting with its recently redesigned offices that offer state-of-the-art equipment and furniture, an open floor plan with massive windows, and a 360-degree view of the Gulf, AutoLoop constantly invests in new ways to make work enjoyable for everyone. Its team members, known as “Loopsters,” enjoy a variety of benefits both on- and offsite. In addition to full healthcare coverage, twice-weekly yoga classes, a personal massage therapist, and deep discounts on gym memberships, Loopsters always have premium coffee and complimentary healthy snacks on hand, plus offerings from various visiting food trucks each Wednesday. Every month, they celebrate staff birthdays and work anniversaries with a collection of cakes, goodies, and even a mariachi band. Competitions at the onsite foosball table are a common lunchtime activity, and seeing someone cruise around the office on a scooter isn’t unusual.

The company also hosts numerous social events throughout the year, such as trivia contests at the local watering holes. Chili cook-offs, a huge Thanksgiving feast, the summer bash at Clearwater Beach, movie outings, and Howl-O-Scream festivities at Busch Gardens are regular annual events as well. At Halloween, Loopsters compete in elaborate costume, dessert, and decorating contests. And the yearly Loop Holiday Extravaganza, featuring different themes and spectacular prizes, is legendary among employees.

On “Priday,” or Pride Friday, Loopsters choose a particular color to celebrate and everyone turns out for a company photo—set in a rainbow. Community blood drives and canned food drives, sponsorships of local baseball teams, and even relief funds for natural disasters like the recent hurricanes are also part of the AutoLoop culture. Nor is the fun limited to in-house activities for workers only. Employee families are encouraged to participate in every event as well.

Besides describing what makes their workplace more enjoyable, contenders for Tampa Bay Tech’s annual award also had to explain how their unique workplaces impact the programs or products they generate. For the approximately 415 Loopsters who design, build, illustrate, and sell the company’s best-in-class automotive software, the extraordinary perks create an invaluable team dynamic. In doing so, AutoLoop continually reinforces a culture where the success of each department is integral to the success of all the others.

“We all depend heavily on one another for specific deliverables to accomplish our goals,” said Snyder. “Getting together at a fun party or charity event really helps strengthen those relationships that have to work well day in and day out. And it allows us to better serve our clients—the dealers who depend on our software to make their businesses run more smoothly.”

It’s a mindset that has clearly paid off: AutoLoop has doubled its ranks in just a few years and continues to expand. By consistently investing in its workers, promoting a healthy work-life balance, and simply encouraging good old-fashioned fun, the company has earned not only the Tampa Bay Tech award, but also the dedication of its many Loopsters. Anthony Macri to be Featured on CUTV News Radio

TORONTO, ONTARIO, CANADA, November 14, 2018 / — Divorce is one of the most traumatizing experiences a family can go through. If the couple cannot work out their differences, sometimes the most appropriate solution is to dissolve the marriage. If you find yourself in this painful situation, it is absolutely essential that you find an attorney who can help you protect you and your family’s well-being. A person such as Anthony Macri, who has been a superior Family law attorney for over 21 years.

“I offer a holistic approach to solving family problems and that’s one of the big differences when you retain me,” says Anthony. “With my functional practical advice I hold the well-being of my clients and their children in the highest regard. It’s not getting as many clients as possible. It’s about providing the best service to clients and their children possible. I take my responsibility to be forthright and genuine with my clients very seriously.”

Anthony’s approach to the practice of law is as unassuming as it is selfless. He unequivocally affirms that when you enter into family litigation it’s very much a partnership and a matter of trust. Separation and divorce is difficult at the best of times and when children are involved extra care has to be brought to the situation. If a parent does not have their child’s best interests at heart, they will not do well and are not the type of client you want. Anthony will absolutely not take cases where the parent is not making their child a priority in the matter.

“I pursued a career in law to help people,” says Anthony. “Society is incredibly complex and a tremendous amount of individuals are not certain what their rights are and that can immobilize them in their approach. When people are not well informed they can make bad decisions for themselves and for their children. People need a lawyer to guide them toward a happier life and positive future.”

Anthony’s family law practice emphasizes the whole notion that children are our future and the way they are treated and educated are a critical factor in how they engage in the world as compassionate human beings.

All of us at various times of our life needed some help. That’s why Anthony is always happy to mentor young lawyers as they start their career. Also, in our community, there are always people in need and it’s important to give back to your community. That’s why Anthony volunteers as a cook for a local feed the homeless program.

“When it comes to dealing with the impact of and changes following a divorce, it’s essential that parents have their priorities straight and implement them accordingly,” says Anthony. “People’s first priority should always be the well-being of their children. Parents must be mindful of the fact that their children will be affected by the changes their parents are making in their life for the rest of the child’s life. Your spouse may stop being your spouse, they will not stop being the child’s other parent. You two will be connected through your children for the rest of your life.”

Just as your children will tell you that “they never asked to be born”, it’s also true that they never asked for the divorce. Therefore you should shield them from the consequences of the breakdown of the family as much as possible. When there are child support or spousal support obligations, the cheapest course of action is simply to pay them, rather than fight to avoid paying them. In the end, the money is used for your children and they will ultimately benefit.”

Anthony believes that “no one wins a custody dispute.” The anger and animosity between the parents will always negatively affect the child and in the end you will have a damaged child, and on top of that you will have impoverished parents who have spent all their money on lawyers and other professionals who they have enlisted in their war against the other person their child loves.

It is so important for parents to remain amicable with each other and with no animosity and to create a nurturing loving environment so their child’s future will be rosy and bright for their children and grandchildren long after the divorce is settled.

“The secret to an exceptional family lawyer is to be the person trying to reduce conflict by placing your child’s best interest above your own,” says Anthony. “Divorce cases are very much individualized in terms of what couples feel for each other but every one of them should create the best life for their child. The person that places their child first above all else will surely win the litigation.”

CUTV News Radio will feature Anthony Macri in an interview with Doug Llewelyn Friday, November 16th at 1:00 p.m. EST and Friday, November 30th at 1 p.m. EST with Jim Masters.

Hickey Law Firm Announces $4.5 Million Verdict in Car Crash Survivor Action

Attorney John H. “Jack” Hickey

The verdict stands, and the insurance company was required to pay the verdict amount plus post judgment interest for a total of $5,087,699.93

This may not be the largest verdict in the world. But it is the largest verdict in the world for an 89-year-old woman who was involved in a car crash and died 4 1/2 years later of unrelated causes.”

— Jack Hickey

MIAMI, FLORIDA, US, November 14, 2018 / — Florida’s Third District Court of Appeal on September 5, 2018 entered a PCA (per curiam affirmance) of the trial court’s order. That court on October 17, 2018 denied Defendant’s Motion for entry of an option making the PCA final. The verdict stands, and the insurance company was required to pay the verdict amount plus post judgment interest for a total of $5,087,699.93

Miami attorney Jack Hickey said: “This may not be the largest verdict in the world. But it is the largest verdict in the world for an 89-year-old woman who was involved in a car crash and died 4 1/2 years later of unrelated causes. The case then became a “survivor action” which is for the pain and suffering of a woman who never set foot in the courtroom and whose deposition was not taken. She was brought to life in the courtroom through the photos of Maria “the energizer bunny” before the crash, the medical records, and the testimony of Maria’s daughter and granddaughter. I am proud of the result and happy for my clients.”

Judge Michael Hanzman’s 41 Page order denying defendant’s post-trial motions for remittitur (asking the judge to reduce the verdict) and for new trial (asking for a do-over) said:

“As one court aptly noted, deciding an amount of damages to award for pain and suffering is an “attempt to measure that which is immeasurable…” Food Fair Stores, Inc. v. Morgan, 338 So. 2d 89, 92 (Fla. 2d DCA 1976). For this reason a jury’s award of such damages should be given even greater deference. See, e.g. Berger v. Philip Morris USA, Inc., 3:09 – CV-14157, 2016 WL 2620134, fn. 2 (M.D. Fla. May 5, 2016) (“where damages for pain and suffering are involved” court should be “deferential to ‘the enlightened conscience of the jury’ because these kinds of damages are ‘even further removed from exact calculation and certain measurement.’”);”

Jack Hickey: represented defendants for 17 years; for past 20 years has represented only people with life changing injuries; Past President of the Dade County Bar Association; Currently: Board of Governors of The Florida Bar, Board of Directors of the Florida Justice Association, and Board of Trustees of the American Association for Justice; Double Board Certified in Civil Trial and Admiralty and Maritime Law; Recognized by The Best Lawyers in America in the areas of Admiralty and Maritime and Personal Injury – Plaintiffs.

Chicago Attorney: Parents Are Left in the Dark About Birth Injuries

A Chicago attorney offered vital information to parents in an interview about what a hospital might not say about complications regarding labor and delivery.

The main thing we can do is get them sufficient money to pay for a better quality of life. These cases are especially complicated, and they’re always fought tooth and nail by the insurance companies.”

— Bob Baizer

CHICAGO , ILLINOIS , US, November 14, 2018 / — A Chicago attorney offered vital information to parents in an interview about what a hospital might not say about complications regarding labor and delivery. The interview took place on the™ Facebook page, and it featured injury attorney Bob Baizer. He explained that the three main types of birth injuries that he sees the most are cerebral palsy (caused by lack of oxygen at birth), shoulder dystocia (where the baby is too large to be delivered via vaginal birth, causing permanent arm or shoulder injuries), and infections that go untreated, leading to brain injuries.

He said that one major cause of all these injuries is the lack of a timely cesarean section.

“If the fetal monitor strip is not looking like it should, it's time to do a C section,” he said. “If you wait too long, the baby is denied oxygen. And that injures the baby's brain and that can cause horrible, horrible damages throughout the baby's life.”

He stressed that birth injuries have permanent effects for the entire family, and that parents have an overwhelming amount of responsibilities to consider. These include home modifications, medical treatments, and full-time care.

Baizer explained that doctors may not tell the parents if something went wrong during childbirth that caused complications later on. He had a case where a mother happened to notice something odd in her child’s medical records. She noticed it right before the eight-year statute of limitations expired.

He urges all parents of children with conditions like cerebral palsy and shoulder dystocia to speak to a birth injury attorney and explore their options.

“The main thing we can do is get them sufficient money to pay for a better quality of life. These cases are especially complicated, and they’re always fought tooth and nail by the insurance companies that are representing the doctors and also the hospitals,” he said in a news report.

Bob Baizer is an injury attorney and founding partner of Baizer Kolar Neiman P.C. He has more than 40 years of legal experience, and he focuses most of his practice on assisting victims of medical malpractice and vehicle accidents. He has obtained several multi-million dollar verdicts and settlements for victims of negligence.

Dr. C. Clair Claiborne of Claiborne Consulting to be Featured on CUTV News Radio

APEX, NORTH CAROLINA, UNITED STATES, November 14, 2018 / — We enter a room, we flip on a light switch and the light turns on, but how often do we ever stop to think about how electricity reaches our homes to deliver the voltage we need.

According to today’s guest, it all depends on transformers, and there’s more to them than meets the eye.

Dr. C. Clair Claiborne is the founder of Claiborne Consulting, where he draws on his expertise in the fields of material science and engineering to assist organizations that manufacture transformers.

“I consult with companies in terms of the materials that go into transformers. That includes the liquids and the metals and the ceramics and everything else.”

Transformers can be found all over. Larger transformers take power from the central generators and converts it to a power frequency that can be transmitted over the power lines to smaller transformers that take power from power lines and convert it from 220v to 120v to deliver it into your house.

All transformers are constructed much the same way, with a metal core wrapped with a wired coil and paper to insulate the coil. Transformers also require mineral oil

There are a number of companies that compete in this industry, including ABB, the largest worldwide company, and Siemens, a German company. Their customers are industrial companies, government agencies and, of course, utilities.

Dr. Claiborne spent 33 years with ABB before striking out on his own.

“It took quite a bit of courage to launch this consultancy, but I am hopeful for the future,” says Dr. Claiborne. “Instead of working for one organization, I can provide my expertise to a number of organizations in this industry.”

CUTV News Radio will feature Dr. C. Clair Claiborne in an interview with Jim Masters on November 16th at 11am EST.
